International Women’s Day - FREE webinar & class
We are really excited to be partnering with Improving Me, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Women’s Health and Maternity programme again, this time to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025. This year the theme for International Women's Day is #AccelerateAction to focus on the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. Bee Happy Babies is a female-owned, led and run company.
One of the biggest gender inequalities is within health care, Women’s health continues to be under-researched and underfunded with many issues often being dismissed. Data published in 2024 showed that maternal death rates have increased with mental-health-related causes being one of the highest contributors.
Our mission at Bee Happy Babies is to train as many healthcare professionals as possible in the benefits of baby massage to make it more accessible to families, one of the reasons being that research in baby massage consistently shows it can be beneficial for maternal mental health such as reducing depression and anxiety.
In support of International Women’s Day, we will be running two FREE sessions on March 7th:
9.00-9.30(GMT): This session is for healthcare and social care workers. It will will provide an overview of what baby massage is and its numerous benefits with a focus on the maternal benefits of baby massage. This session is suitable for anyone working with families with babies.
10.00-10.45(GMT): This session is for families with babies from 8 weeks and older. It will cover the basic principles of baby massage, key massage techniques, and an introduction to tummy time. These sessions can be streamed at home or at local family hubs and other locations celebrating International Women’s Day.
